Pacific Academy is a co-educational Christian School. Our Statement of Faith is distinctly Evangelical and Pentecostal. We honour the authority of Scripture and welcome the movement of God's Holy Spirit in the daily life of the school.
While Pacific Academy's primary mission is to serve Canadian families and students, we believe we can both be a blessing and be blessed by reaching out to the world. The students in our International Program bring to the school valuable opportunities to form cross-cultural friendships and understanding.
The goal of the International Program is to prepare international students to meet North American university entrance requirements. Normally, students enter in Grade 9, and will require five to six years of study to complete the B.C. High School Diploma program.
Before students are accepted for registration, they must take a comprehensive English placement test. This test allows us to place each student in the appropriate level for intensive English as a second language (ESL) instruction. Every student entering the International Program must attend summer school, which is held through the month of August.
Our policy is that students are placed in homestays unless they live with a blood relative who has parenting experience. For students who require a homestay, we arrange homestays with caring Christian families.
